Today's news in the Israeli paper Haaretz (English-language version) about tension between Israel and Egypt. Last week, terrorists from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip crossed the border into Egypt, traveled south down the border, and launched an attack into Israel that killed several people. Rockets have been fired at cities in southern Israel from the Gaza Strip as well. Pursuing the attackers from the cross-border attack, Israel killed several Egyptian soldiers. The transitional government in Egypt has been both upholding the terms of the Israel-Egypt treaty and giving signs of opening it up for debate.
